Studying dentistry in Lithuania

After medicine, dentistry is the field Turkish students ask about most. Places are among the tightest anywhere, which makes timing even more critical.

Structure

How the programme works

Like medicine, dentistry is an integrated, long programme you apply to straight after secondary school. A large part of it is clinical practice, so places are capped by laboratory and clinic capacity.

Tight capacity means applications close early. In this field, "we'll look at the next intake" usually costs a full year.

Even on English-taught programmes, basic Lithuanian may appear in the curriculum for the clinical years.

Admissions

What admissions look at

  • 1Science grades

Biology and chemistry above all feed directly into the assessment.

  • 2Places and deadlines

Dentistry fills faster than almost anything else. The timeline has to be built months in advance.

  • 3English certificate

The accepted test and level vary; schedule the exam so results land before the deadline.

  • 4Interview or extra assessment

Some schools add an interview or further assessment. The programme page states whether this applies.

Recognition and professional registration

If you plan to practise in Türkiye, recognition and professional registration are a separate process decided by the authorities there. Clarify it before applying.
