Sample service agreement
This is the agreement we sign before any work starts, word for word. Names, dates and personal details are blank here; every other clause appears in your copy exactly as written below. I would rather you read what I commit to before you pay anything.
An agreement is formed only when both named parties sign the text. I will send the Word or PDF copy by email on request.

2. Subject of the agreement and nature of the service
The Adviser provides the Student with the information, planning, document checks, communication and practical settlement support set out in this agreement, in connection with applying to higher education in Lithuania and arriving and settling in the country. The Adviser is an independent service provider and takes no commission from universities.
This service does not constitute legal practice, legal representation in immigration matters, sworn translation, admission to a university, the grant of a visa or residence permit, the rental of housing, or a guarantee of any third party's decision. The Adviser provides administrative and practical support to the extent permitted by law.
3. The Adviser's services
3.1 Services before arrival in Lithuania:
1. Assess which universities and programmes may be suitable, based on the Student's grades, language level, budget and goals.
2. Provide in writing the application calendar, deadlines, document list and known application fees for the chosen applications.
3. Explain the order of diploma, transcript, apostille, translation and notary steps; check documents supplied by the Student for visible gaps.
4. Guide the use of the application system and work through the required accounts and application steps with the Student. Where a separate and valid authorisation exists, carry out on the Student's behalf those steps the law permits.
5. Follow the exchange with the university admissions office and pass on important correspondence and outcomes within a reasonable time.
6. Provide general document and appointment information for the national visa and residence permit processes, and check the file administratively before submission.
7. Research dormitory and rental options according to the Student's budget and place of study, and share the options available.
8. Provide written guidance on the pre-arrival checklist, the first week's tasks and the documents to bring.
3.2 Services after arrival in Lithuania:
9. Airport collection and transfer. Where flight and arrival details have been sent in writing at least 48 hours in advance and confirmed by both parties, the Student is met at Vilnius Airport and taken to the accommodation address in the Adviser's own vehicle. This transfer is included in the total fee and is not charged separately. On the way, the Student is briefed on the first day's tasks and the surroundings.
10. Kaunas Airport. Where the flight lands at Kaunas, collection and transfer depend on a prior written agreement between the parties. Without such an agreement, the Adviser informs the Student in writing in advance of the ways and cost of travelling from Kaunas to Vilnius.
11. Accompany viewings of suitable housing; give practical help in understanding the lease and explain points the Student does not follow. This is not a legal opinion, nor a guarantee of the accuracy of the landlord's statements.
12. Accompany and give practical support during university registration, so far as the university's schedule and appointment availability allow.
13. Attend the residence permit appointment so far as the appointment and the authority's rules allow, and give administrative support with the paperwork.
14. Provide general information and practical support with everyday settlement steps such as a bank account, phone line, insurance and address registration, and assist with procedures that remain subject to each institution's acceptance and conditions.
15. Provide remote support by phone and WhatsApp during the Student's first semester, for questions within the scope of this agreement.
3.3 Communication and planning:
The Adviser answers ordinary messages within 1 working day where possible. Delays can arise from institutions' opening hours, public holidays, peak periods, connection problems and third parties' own response times.
In an emergency involving health, safety or an accident, the Student first calls 112 or the relevant emergency services. The Adviser is not an emergency service and gives no guarantee of an immediate response or of attending in person.
Important official correspondence is forwarded to the Student so far as personal data can be shared securely.
4. Fee and payment terms
Total fee: 1,000 EUR (one thousand euros). Tax and invoicing follow the Adviser's registration and tax status.
Instalment: 1st · Amount: 500 EUR · Due: on signature of the agreement and once the withdrawal-right information and the Student's choices have been recorded · Covers: the pre-arrival services in clause 3.1
Instalment: 2nd · Amount: 500 EUR · Due: within 7 days of the Student's arrival in Lithuania and of the collection and arrival support · Covers: the post-arrival services in clause 3.2
Payment is made by bank transfer; an invoice or receipt is issued in accordance with applicable law.
The transfer from Vilnius Airport to the accommodation address is included in this fee and is not charged separately.
University tuition and application fees, visa and residence permit charges, apostille, translation, notary, insurance, rent, deposit, intercity travel and other third-party costs are not included in the fee; the Student pays these directly to the institution or person concerned. The Adviser states these amounts separately in writing and commits to no expense on the Student's behalf without prior written approval.
If the Student does not travel to Lithuania, the second instalment is not requested unless post-arrival services have been provided. If the Student changes the flight or arrival date, the parties reconfirm the collection arrangement.
5. The Student's obligations
1. Provide accurate, current and complete information and documents; submit no false or misleading document.
2. Observe the application and appointment dates notified by the Adviser, and supply documents sufficiently far in advance.
3. Pay the fees of universities, the Migration Department, consulates and other institutions on time and directly.
4. Follow emails and official notices from institutions and forward important correspondence to the Adviser without delay.
5. Send flight and arrival details at least 48 hours before the collection date, and report changes immediately.
6. Comply with Lithuanian law, university rules, accommodation conditions and the lease.
7. Report changes of contact details and address, and take their own decisions on matters that call for one (choice of programme, confirming an application, the lease, payment).
The Adviser cannot be held responsible, to the extent the cause does not lie in the Adviser's own fault, for consequences arising from the Student supplying a document late, giving incorrect information, missing an application or payment date, or failing to complete steps required by institutions. The Adviser informs the Student within a reasonable time of material gaps and risks known to the Adviser.
6. Authorisation
Where steps must be taken on the Student's behalf, a power of attorney or other authorisation is obtained separately, in the form the institution concerned accepts. The authority is limited to the steps expressly stated. The Student may revoke it so far as the law allows.
The Adviser reports to the Student the steps taken under the authority and any material developments. The authorisation does not remove the Student's responsibility for the accuracy of their own declarations or for their obligations towards official institutions.
7. Term, withdrawal, termination and refund
The agreement takes effect on the date of signature. Pre-arrival services are provided during the application and preparation period; post-arrival services after the Student's arrival, within the scope set out here. Remote support runs to the end of the first semester; services after that date are agreed separately in writing.
Right of withdrawal. A Student who concludes the agreement as a consumer at a distance or off-premises may exercise the withdrawal rights available under applicable law. As a general rule a 14-day withdrawal period may apply; exceptions and the start of the period are assessed according to how the agreement was concluded and the law in force. A withdrawal notice may be sent as a clear written statement to info@egitimlitvanyada.com. This agreement does not remove the statutory right of withdrawal.
Where the Student expressly requests that the service begin before the 14-day period expires, the consent box below is used. On withdrawal, in the cases and to the extent the law allows, a proportionate payment may be due for services provided during the withdrawal period at the Student's express request.
☐ The Student expressly requests that the services begin before the 14-day withdrawal period expires, and accepts that, to the extent the law allows, a proportionate payment may become due for services provided up to the withdrawal notice.
If the Student does not want the service to begin immediately, the Adviser plans the start accordingly within the withdrawal period. For a distance agreement, the withdrawal information and the record of these choices are given to the Student together with the copy of the agreement.
Cancellation and termination. In cases of cancellation or termination outside the withdrawal period, the parties take as their basis the services provided, the amounts paid and the services not performed. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, the amounts corresponding to services not provided, and any amounts lawfully chargeable, are calculated.
Support for reapplying in the next application cycle. If the Student is not admitted in the first cycle, or cannot settle for reasons not attributable to the Student, and wishes to apply again in the next available cycle, the pre-arrival services covered by the first instalment are provided once more with no further consultancy fee. This support depends on the Student supplying documents and requested information on time, on the application conditions continuing to apply, and on the programme concerned being open for applications. If the university, programme, application cycle or scope changes materially, the parties clarify the scope in writing. Third-party fees are not included in this support.
Termination by the Adviser. In cases of a false document, a request for an unlawful act, or payment more than 30 days overdue despite a written reminder, the Adviser may terminate the agreement after first giving the Student written notice. On termination, services provided and not provided are calculated separately; refunds and other rights are determined by the law in force.
Force majeure. Where war, natural disaster, epidemic, closure of airspace, suspension of service by official institutions or a change of law lies outside the parties' control, the obligations affected may be postponed to the extent of the obstacle. The parties make reasonable efforts to reduce delay; where the obstacle is prolonged, they agree in writing on a new plan or on termination.
8. Outcomes and third-party decisions
Admission rests with the university concerned; the visa decision with the relevant consulate or mission; the residence permit decision with the competent Lithuanian authorities; the rental of housing with the landlord; the opening of a bank account and a phone line with the provider concerned.
What the Adviser undertakes is to provide the services set out in this agreement with care, to explain the known application requirements, to report material gaps, and to follow developments in the process reasonably.
Where a decision is negative, options for appeal, a new application or specialist support, which may carry additional cost, can be considered with the Student. Such steps are not included in the fee unless expressly agreed in writing.
9. Personal data
The Adviser processes personal data in order to perform the agreement, coordinate applications and meet legal obligations, in accordance with the GDPR and applicable law. Only the data needed is requested; passports and other sensitive documents are shared through secure channels so far as possible.
Data may be shared, so far as the step requires, with universities, competent public authorities, accommodation providers and other recipients on the Student's express instruction. The retention period is set having regard to the conduct of the application, the resolution of disputes and statutory retention obligations.
The Student may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection via info@egitimlitvanyada.com. Further detail is given in the Privacy Policy in force.
The Student's photograph, name, review or story may be used for promotion only with express consent given separately from this agreement and freely. Signing this agreement is not consent to promotion.
10. Liability
The Adviser performs the contractual services within the Adviser's own control with reasonable care. The Adviser is not liable, to the extent the cause does not lie in the Adviser's own fault, for the independent decisions of universities or public authorities, for the acts of landlords or other third parties, for the Student's incorrect or incomplete information or delays, or for events outside the Adviser's control.
This clause does not remove liability that cannot be excluded by law, the consumer's mandatory rights, or the rules applicable in cases of intent or gross negligence.
11. Complaints and disputes
The Student may first send a complaint about the service in writing to info@egitimlitvanyada.com. The Adviser examines it within a reasonable time and within the statutory periods in force, and gives a reasoned reply.
Disputes are first addressed through amicable discussion. The consumer's statutory rights of administrative complaint, alternative dispute resolution and access to the courts are unaffected.
The agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania; this clause may not be read as depriving the consumer of applicable mandatory rules of law or of the statutory right to apply to the competent authorities. The competent court and authority are determined by the rules of law applicable to the particular dispute.
12. Notices and final provisions
Notices concerning payment, withdrawal, refund, complaints and termination are given by email. WhatsApp is for day-to-day coordination; email is recommended for formal notices. A party whose email address changes reports this in writing without delay.
This agreement constitutes the parties' agreement on the scope of the service. Amendments are made in writing. The invalidity of any provision does not of itself affect the validity of the others. The agreement may be drawn up in two copies or as an electronic copy each party can retain. Before signature, the Student is given the agreement and the applicable withdrawal information.

Background
Why the agreement reads this way
Four points, without the legal register.
- 01Who makes the decision
Admission is decided by the university admissions committee, the visa by the consulate, the residence permit by the Migration Department. My job is that the file is complete and on time. The agreement says so plainly, so it is clear from the start who does what.
- 02From the airport to your door
I meet you at Vilnius Airport myself and drive you to your accommodation in my own car. That transfer is inside the 1,000 EUR and costs nothing extra. If your flight lands at Kaunas, we agree the collection in writing beforehand.
- 03Why the fee is split
The first 500 EUR pays for the work done before you travel: research, document tracking, the application, correspondence, the accommodation search. The second 500 EUR falls due once you have arrived and been collected. If you do not settle this year, I provide the pre-arrival services again next cycle at no further consultancy fee.
- 04Your right of withdrawal stands
If the agreement is concluded at a distance, you keep the consumer's 14-day right of withdrawal, and nothing here removes it. A model withdrawal notice is attached to the agreement; one line to info@egitimlitvanyada.com is enough.

I will send it as Word or PDF. Read it, ask what you want to ask, and decide afterwards.
