Cookie policy
This page explains what gets stored in your browser when you visit the site, and how to manage it.
You do not need to accept cookies to browse this site. Only the records needed to make the site work are kept without your consent. Measurement and advertising cookies do not run unless you allow them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file saved in your browser when you visit a site. It is used to remember a language choice, to count visitors, or to measure advertising performance.
Alongside cookies, this site also uses "local storage" entries that stay in your browser and do the same job. Everything below covers both.
2. Records kept without consent
Language choice: whether you want the site in Turkish or English is stored in your browser so you do not have to pick again on every page. This record never leaves your browser and never reaches me.
Your cookie choice: your answer to the banner below (accepted or declined) is stored in your browser. Otherwise you would be asked again on every page.
These two records are necessary for the site to work and do not require consent under applicable law.
Visitor counting: I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how often each page is opened. It writes no cookie or other record to your browser, does not store your IP address and does not identify you as a person; it only counts page views. Because it processes no personal data it is not tied to your consent, and it keeps working if you decline.
3. Cookies that need your consent: measurement and advertising
This site carries a Google Ads tag. Its purpose is to measure how many visitors arrive after seeing an advert, so that advertising spend can be checked against results.
The tag only runs if you explicitly allow it. If you decline, no cookie is written for Google and no data is sent.
If you allow it, Google may place its own cookies in your browser and will process that data under its own policies. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
4. What this site does not use
There is no social-media tracking pixel, heatmap, session recording or profiling tool on this site. There are no user accounts and no log-in.
5. Changing your choice
You can change your decision at any time. Click "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of any page and the question comes back.
You can also delete or block all cookies from your browser settings. If you do, your language choice will be forgotten as well; the rest of the site keeps working normally.
6. How long records are kept
Your language choice and your cookie decision stay in your browser until you delete them. If you consent, the lifetime of Google's cookies is set by Google and is usually limited to a few months.
7. Changes to this policy
If a new tool is added to the site, this page is updated and your consent is requested again. The current version is always published at this address.
