Step by step

How the process works

Ten steps, from the first call to the end of your first semester in Lithuania. The calendar below is an example for an intake starting in September.

Stage 1

Before you arrive

7 steps
  1. Step 1: Free initial consultation

    Jan – Feb

About thirty minutes online, with the student and the parents, covering your goal, your grades and your budget. Free, and it commits you to nothing.

  2. Step 2: University and programme selection

    1 – 2 weeks

A realistic short list that fits your profile. Each programme's requirements, fees and deadlines are checked together against the university's official pages.

  3. Step 3: Document preparation

    2 – 4 weeks

Diploma, transcript and passport checked; apostille and sworn English translation handled in the right order.

  4. Step 4: Application and recognition of your diploma

    Mar – May

The university application and, where required, a recognition application to SKVC. Preparation for an interview or English test if the programme has one.

  5. Step 5: Admission and tuition

    May – Jun

Collecting the admission letter, paying tuition directly to the university, and gathering the documents the school issues for the residence permit.

  6. Step 6: Residence permit application

    Jun – Jul

The application through MIGRIS, health insurance and the other documents requested, and appointment tracking. The housing search starts at this stage.

  7. Step 7: Card collection and flight plan

    August

Collecting the residence card, confirming the accommodation, timing the flight and planning what to bring.

Stage 2

After you arrive

3 steps
  1. Step 8: Pickup and moving in

    Arrival day

Met in Vilnius, taken to the address, keys handed over and the tenancy agreement read through together.

  2. Step 9: Official steps

    First two weeks

Address declaration, bank account, phone line, student card and course registration. We go to the appointments together.

  3. Step 10: Settling in and follow-up

    Through the first semester

One contact you can actually reach. Problems get solved together, before they grow.

The dates are indicative and vary by university, programme and intake. For programmes starting in February the calendar shifts roughly six months earlier. Starting document preparation without waiting for the admission letter is the single step that prevents most delays.

Who this is for

Two sides of the same work

For a student, not being alone here. For a university, knowing that the students it admits still have someone beside them once they arrive.

For students and parents

Choose, apply, arrive, settle

One continuous process with one person — from university and programme choice to the application file, housing and the shape of your first semester.

  • A realistic university and programme list
  • Application and document tracking
  • Accommodation search, verified in person
  • Moving in and settling the first days
  • Guidance on residence permit and bank steps
For universities

Local student support in Vilnius

Student guidance from abroad, plus practical support once students reach Lithuania. I work independently and am not an official representative of any university.

  • Student access and pre-screening
  • Programme guidance and application support
  • Arrival, pickup and accommodation assistance
  • Local support through settlement
  • Student communication and reporting back

Also

Not only for four-year degree students

Two more questions come up often: students arriving for a single term on Erasmus, and parents who want to visit their child.

ER

Erasmus students

Your application runs through your own university; my work is the part that happens here. Short-term accommodation, airport pickup, your first week and someone to call all term.

SV

Parent visits and Schengen visas

If you want to visit your child, I help with the invitation, the accommodation documents and putting the application file together. The consulate decides; nobody can guarantee a visa.

The hard part

You're not just applying to a university. You're moving to a new country.

For international students, the difficult part usually begins after the admission letter arrives. Admission is the start of the process, not the end of it.

  • Where will I live?
  • Who will pick me up?
  • How do I get a SIM card?
  • How does public transport work?
  • What documents do I need?
  • How do I get settled?
  • What happens in my first week?
  • Who do I call if something goes wrong?

That's where local support matters.

Who you're working with

Not a distant agency — one person living in Vilnius

The person you speak to, the person who views your flat and the person who meets you at the airport are the same. The whole service is run by one person: that's both its advantage and its limit.

Secondary support

English and Lithuanian — practical communication support

Practical communication support for daily life, university and official procedures. Not a language course; it runs alongside the main service.

  • In daily life
  • In official procedures
  • In university correspondence

What I do

Before arrival and after arrival — one continuous process

The service splits into two stages: the preparation done while you are still in Türkiye, and the settlement period after you land. The same person handles both.

Before Arrival

Stage 1
  • ›University & programme guidance

Working through schools and programmes that fit your profile, budget and goal.

  • ›Application support

Tracking each step, checking the file is complete, putting every deadline on a calendar.

  • ›Document checklist

Which document comes from where, in what order, and with which translation or certification.

  • ›Accommodation search

Dorm and rental options researched against your campus and budget, checked in person where possible.

  • ›Pre-arrival planning

Flight timing, a plan for the first week, and what to bring with you.

After Arrival

Stage 2
  • ›Airport pickup

Met at Vilnius Airport and taken to your accommodation.

  • ›Accommodation check-in

Keys, reading the contract together, recording the condition of the flat.

  • ›Local orientation

Shops, transport, campus, pharmacy — where things are in your first days.

  • ›SIM & connectivity

Going through mobile and internet options and getting you connected.

  • ›Administrative guidance

Residence permit, bank account and municipal registration — guidance and company at appointments.

  • ›University orientation

Enrolment day, student card, course system and your first steps on campus.

Why Lithuania

A compact EU country with English-taught degrees

Lithuania deserves an honest description: it isn't the right choice for every student, but for a particular profile it makes real sense.

EU

EU and Schengen member

Your degree and student status sit inside the European framework, and degrees are awarded under the Bologna system.

EN

English-taught programmes

There are many bachelor's and master's programmes taught in English — Lithuanian is not a requirement.

⌁

Tech, engineering and health

A developed IT, engineering and fintech ecosystem, plus established medicine, dentistry and veterinary programmes open to international students.

We clarify it together

Entry requirements, tuition fees and residence rules vary by school and programme; we verify them together from official sources before you apply.

Universities

Universities students may consider

I am not an official representative of any of these institutions. This list covers universities that run English-taught programmes and that international students ask about most often.

Vilnius

Vilnius University

Lithuania's oldest and broadest university, founded in 1579. It runs English-taught programmes across medicine, computing, law, business and the humanities.

For parents

Knowing that someone is there

Sending your child to a country they don't know is the hardest item on the list. What this service offers a parent is simple: a contact in Lithuania you can actually reach.

Not alone on the first day

Your child is met, reaches their address safely, and you are told once they have.

Accommodation seen in person

Housing isn't picked from a listing and left at that; it is checked on site where possible.

Kept informed

You are updated at the milestones that matter — enrolment, the residence permit application, moving in.

Direct communication

You reach me directly by phone or WhatsApp whenever you need to; there is no call centre or assistant in between.

Language support and daily practice

So your child doesn't withdraw because of the language, I provide practical communication support in English and Lithuanian for daily life and official matters.

Recognition and official correspondence

Recognition files, emails to the university and correspondence with institutions all run in English; we read and write those texts together.

Students and parents can reach me directly by phone or WhatsApp whenever they need to. This is not guardianship or medical care; what it offers is a real point of contact in Lithuania, always reachable for practical matters.

Your money

What you should see before paying anything

Paying someone you haven't met, in a country you don't know, is the most fragile part of this. The answer isn't reassurance — it's a structure you can inspect.

  • ✓A written agreement

Scope, duration, cancellation and refund terms are in writing before anything begins. I don't work on verbal promises.

  • ✓The second €500 is not taken until you arrive

The second instalment is paid after you land in Lithuania. It isn't requested before you get here.

  • ✓Bank transfer, with a document

Payment goes through a bank and is documented. I don't accept cash.

  • ✓Third-party costs stay yours

Tuition, rent and deposits are paid directly to the university or landlord, never into my account.

  • ✓The eligibility analysis and first call are free

Payment only comes up once you've seen the scope.

  • ✓No charge for work not done

If you withdraw, the refund terms are written into the agreement and read through together beforehand.

Fee

What does it cost?

There is one service fee, paid in two equal instalments. No hidden items, no commission, nothing added later.

Total consultancy fee €1,000 per student · two equal instalments University tuition is not included in this fee.
