Privacy & data protection
Everything this site asks you for has a reason. Here is what is asked, why, and how long it is kept.
1. Data controller
Personal data submitted through this site is processed by an independent consultant based in Lithuania. Contact: info@egitimlitvanyada.com · +370 640 62696
2. What data is processed
Through the consultation form: full name, email, phone/WhatsApp number and — where you choose to complete them — age, country, city, education level, target programme, preferred city, English level, budget range, target intake and your message.
Leaving optional fields blank does not prevent the service from being provided.
3. Purpose and legal basis
Data is processed solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare the consultation and deliver the service. The legal basis is the taking of pre-contractual steps at your request, together with your consent.
Data is not used for marketing, not sold to third parties and not shared with advertising networks.
4. Sharing
Your data is shared with a university, accommodation provider or public authority only on your instruction and only to the extent the process requires. It is not otherwise shared with third parties.
Where the form is sent via WhatsApp or email, that provider's own privacy terms also apply.
5. Retention
Data from enquiries that do not lead to a service relationship is deleted within 6 months at the latest. That window allows for a follow-up or a repeat enquiry.
Where a service relationship is established, data is retained for the statutory retention periods in Lithuania and Türkiye after the agreement ends.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing and to withdraw your consent. Send such requests to info@egitimlitvanyada.com; they are answered within one month at the latest.
If you are in the EU, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority.
If you are in Türkiye, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK).
7. Cookies and measurement
This site uses the Google tag (gtag.js) for Google Ads measurement. Its purpose is to measure whether a visitor who clicked an ad reached the site.
For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising and measurement storage is denied by default; no such cookie is set in those countries.
For visitors from other countries Google may set a measurement cookie. You can turn this off in your browser's cookie settings or at adssettings.google.com.
Your language preference is stored only in your browser's local storage; it is never sent to a server and is removed when you clear your browser data.
8. Under 18s
Where the student is under 18, the form should be completed by a parent or guardian. Data is not collected directly from minors.
9. Applicants from Türkiye: information under KVKK
Because most students and parents live in Türkiye, the data you share may also fall under Turkish Law no. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK). This section is provided to meet the disclosure duty under that law.
The data controller is the independent education consultant operating from the Republic of Lithuania. Contact: info@egitimlitvanyada.com · +370 640 62696
Data processed: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, and whatever you choose to write in the form (field of interest, city, budget range, English level, your grades).
Purpose: to answer your enquiry, to put together suitable university and programme options, and, where a service agreement is signed, to perform that agreement.
Legal basis: contact made at your own request and the conclusion and performance of a contract (KVKK art. 5/2-c); for anything beyond that, your explicit consent (KVKK art. 5/1).
10. Processing outside Türkiye
The service is run from Lithuania, so your data is processed outside Türkiye, within the European Union. Under KVKK this counts as a transfer abroad.
As an EU member state, Lithuania is subject to the GDPR. The transfer rests on the explicit consent you give by submitting the form and on what is necessary to answer your request.
Your data is never sold, rented or shared for advertising. Sharing is limited to the university you apply to, and only on your instruction.
11. Your rights under KVKK and how to use them
Under KVKK art. 11 you may: learn whether your personal data is processed; request information if it is; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties to whom data is transferred at home or abroad; request correction where data is incomplete or wrong; request erasure or destruction; request that such action be notified to third parties the data was transferred to; object to a result reached solely by automated analysis; and claim compensation where unlawful processing has caused you loss.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@egitimlitvanyada.com. Once your identity is verified, I will conclude the request free of charge within thirty days at the latest.
If you ask for your data to be deleted and no legal obligation requires me to keep it, the records are deleted in full and you are told so in writing.
12. Data security
Your data sits in a small number of tools: form submissions arrive in an email inbox, and contact runs over WhatsApp and phone. Those accounts are protected with two-step verification and accessed from my own devices.
This site has no membership system, no user accounts and no payment infrastructure; card details are never collected through the site.
Student documents (passport, diploma, transcript) are held in encrypted cloud storage rather than on local drives, and are permanently deleted once the retention period ends. Nobody but me has access to them; there are no shared mailboxes and no shared accounts.
That said, no method of transmission is completely secure. For documents such as passports and diplomas I would suggest email rather than WhatsApp. If a breach affects the security of your data, I will notify you and the competent supervisory authority within the period the law requires.
13. Status of this text
This page is for information and is not legal advice. It is updated when the rules change, and the current version is always published at this address.
Any questions?
I answer questions about your data directly.
